Now that we know what the "front door" is to Captain Nemo's lair, and even have a picture of it (p. 178 Abeka 5), it's time to start making our way there.
We aren't sure what it is that Captain Nemo is looking for down there, but there are lots of things it could be. Madame Libre suggests you read through p. 175-178 of Abeka 5 as well as using at least one of your sourcebooks to find some things that Nemo might be after in the ocean.
In your journal, make a heading: "Things Nemo might be after" and list as many things as you can think of that he might want.
Oh, one more thing...remember Barracuda, that henchman we apprehended with the message in a bottle? Well, after questioning him, we found out that another henchman is hiding out along the shoreline watching for government agents as well. I suggest you watch your step. Here's a description of him:
1. really gets around: can cover as much as 300 miles a day! 2. has been seen eating squid. 3. sometimes referred to as "Al" 4. favorite song is "the Wanderer"
You may want to look up the facts about ocean animals in your Animal Encyclopedia for Children. Keep your eyes open and help us apprehend this villian.
