Mission 10:  Getting Geared To Go Deep
Inter-MI Memo
From: Mr. Maury

Great work!  Thanks to your terrific lineup work, we nabbed 3 seastars posing as "walk of fame" stars on the sidewalk. We also apprehended 1 very unhappy crab and two oysters that were selling pearls for information!

I hope your good fortune continues...looks like your most dangerous missions lie just ahead!

Good luck!
One of our agents scoping out the beach scene just before we nabbed the sea stars.
Now it's time to continue following Nemo's trail.  Looks like he has taken his submersible (for photo look at p. 234 in Abeka 4) down to an undersea lab somewhere in the open ocean.  Look back at your map of the ocean in Abeka 4 p. 226.  He has left the continental shelf (the Great Barrier Reef was on the shelf), and has disappeared down the continental slope into dark and dangerous waters.

Few that have explored these deep regions have returned..and those that did return were in a physical state of shock...scarred for life!

We know you are up to this, though you have alot of preparation ahead of you before you "go deep".  Madame Libre says it is vital that you read p. 228-232 of Abeka 4, and Kingfisher 36-37 and Usborne 12-13 may help, too. You will be searching the "Upper-level" area first, then to the ocean depths.

Quiz each other on the fish in the Abeka pages so you can recognize them by sight down there.  It could mean the difference between life and death.
The information regarding your next Contact person in the Upper-level area, is found in something you like to wrap up in after a swim in the ocean.  You will have to use your decoding skills to find out the Contact's name.

Good luck and be careful!
Sad, but True:
John Dory, one of our retired agents, made it back from the ocean depths, but was never the same again.
