MISSION 17: Mission Accomplished! |
|
|
|
News Bulletin from Mission Impossible Headquarters
Recently, in the area of the Great Barrier Reef, our old arch-enemy, Captain Nemo, was apprehended along with his henchmen. This is due to the research, courage and hard work of Agent Leatherback and Agent Lionfish. Thanks to these agents, Captain Nemo and his gang are no longer predators in our ocean waters.
It was found that Captain Nemo was baiting sperm whales with giant squid, killing the whales for their ambergris. Nemo was packaging the ambergris in fake Sea Urchins, which unsuspecting Sea Otters transported to piles on the beaches. These Sea Urchins were then picked up by Nemo's henchmen and transported to Nemo's lab where expensive perfumes were made and sold on the black market.
The ambergris trade was outlawed many years ago due to the near extinction of the sperm whales. Captain Nemo not only endangered the lives of the whales, but the lives of the Giant Squids, the Sea Urchins and even the Sea Otters, who later became sickened from smelling the heavy aroma of ambergris. |

Inter-MI Memo From: Mr. Maury To: Agents Leatherback and Lionfish
Thanks again, you two, for your courage and research aiding in our apprehension of these criminals. Incidentally, Nemo was never actually apprehended...the sharks apparently got there before we did, following the trail of sperm whale blood down to Nemo's undersea lab. Oh well...a fitting way for Nemo to go!
We've rounded up his henchmen, but need a complete debriefing from you before you go on a well-deserved vacation.
Great job! |
