A coastal fish hugging the land mass of Britain, France and Northern Europe as far as the Barents Sea and around the coast of Iceland. Very common in angling catches from the North and Irish seas.

DAB FACTS
The dab is a prized table fish throughout Europe having sweeter tasting flesh than the plaice.

Do not follow the many recipes that recommend filleting the fish prior to cooking. Dabs are at their table best cooked on the bone under a grill.
