Hubbard 2, Salem 2

 

Salem, OH—Hubbard and Salem battles to a draw in conference play.  Hubbard struck first when Gabe Hitchcock took a shot from the left corner.  The ball got tipped by the keeper to Hubbard’s Tim Kemner who put the ball in the open net for his third goal of the year.

 

Salem tied the game at 1-1 on a nice counter.  Hubbard takes the lead 2-1 when Conor Mogg hooked up with Tim Kemner on a beautiful goal.  Conor beat the left defender just outside the penalty area and sent a perfect cross far post to Tim Kemner who did very nice job beating the keeper to his left for his second goal of the game and his fourth of the season.

 

Both teams played a pretty even second half and it wasn’t until the 38:30 mark of the second half when Salem tied the game at 2-2.  Salem sent a direct kick into the box, Hubbard was unable to clear the ball out and Salem capitalized on the miss hap and tied the game

 

Hubbard travels to Warren Harding tomorrow night.
