Hubbard 1, Liberty 4
Hubbard, OH- Hubbard and Liberty battled in
non-league action Tuesday night. Hubbard
struck first when Gabe Hitchcock scored on a very
nice run just 10 minutes into the game.
Hubbard held the 1-0 until
midway through the first half when Hubbard was called for a foul in the penalty
box. Liberty converted the penalty kick and tied
the game at 1-1.
Liberty scored another goal before half to take a 2-1
lead. In the second half still down 2-1 Hubbard’s
Tim Kemner broke through Liberty’s defense and ripped a shot off the
crossbar to tie the game. The ball was
inches of crossing the line for a goal. This
was Hubbard’s best scoring chance in the second half.
Liberty started controlling the most of the second half with
their ball movement and netted two more goals on the Eagles.
