Thursday, September 13, 2007
Newton Falls,
OH—Hubbard turned back a very pesky Newton Falls
team 5-3. Newton Falls
got on the board first to take a 1-0 on Hubbard late in the first half. Hubbard tied the game up just moments before
the half when Jeremy Frazzini assisted Adam Hogan on
a very important goal for the Eagles to tie the game at 1-1.
R.J. Lee inserted some needed
intensity in the second half. R.J. Lee
took pass from Phillip Pesch at the top of the 18 and
buried the shot in the lower left hand corner of the net to put Hubbard up
2-1. Newton Falls
bounced right back on a cross that got headed in to tie the game at 2-2. With 12 minutes left in the game Miles
Williams sent a ball over top of the Newton
Falls defense that R.J.
Lee ran on to and headed the ball over the Keepers head to give Hubbard the 3-2
lead.
Then moments later Alex Chick set
up John Madeline to give Hubbard a 4-2 lead.
Newton Falls not given up scores on a corner
kick with 2:36 left in the game to cut the score to 4-3 Hubbard. One minute later Miles Williams picked up his
second assist as he found Jeremy Frazzini down the
left side. Jeremy took the ball and scores
on a one on one with the Newton
Falls keeper to put
Hubbard up 5-3 and to end the game.
