Kennedy Catholic (Pa) 2, Hubbard 1

Hubbard, OH—Hubbard played one of their most lethargic games of the season and came up short against Kennedy Catholic on senior night.

Hubbard could not sustain any kind of ball movement and didn’t start moving the ball until very late in the second half.

Kennedy went up 1-0 in the first half when Hubbard couldn’t clear a long throw-in that resulted in Kennedy’s first goal.  R.J. Lee had the best scoring opportunity for the Eagles in the first half when his shot hit the crossbar.

The second half remained flat like the first half.  Either team couldn’t take control of the game.  Miles Williams was moved up front in the first half when the Eagles went down 1-0.  Miles hard work and persistence paid off with 7:34 seconds left in the game when he netted his third goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.

Two minutes later Kennedy answered back to regain the lead at 2-1 and held on for the win.

Hubbard (6-4-2) travels to Newton Falls on Thursday, Oct. 5
