Hubbard 1, Champion 1

 

Warren, OH—Hubbard and Champion battled to a draw in Tac-8 action Tuesday night.  Champion struck very quickly just 1:10 seconds into the game to give Champion the 1-0 lead.

 

Hubbard bounced back when Alex Chick was tripped in the penalty box and then beat the keeper off the penalty kick to even up the game at 1-1.

 

Champion outplayed the Eagles in the first half and out shot Hubbard 8-4.

Hubbard played a much better second half against Champion out shooting the Flashes 9-3.  Paul Gref had the best scoring opportunity for the Eagles when he hit the crossbar with 10:00 minutes left in the game.

 

The Eagles played one of the best defensive games last night and will have to repeat their defensive efforts against West Branch on Thursday night.
