Liberty 2, Hubbard 1

 

Liberty, Oh—Hubbard put together two very good halves against Liberty. It was just one of those nights that the ball couldn’t find it’s way to the back of the net.

 

Alex Chick put Hubbard on the board early with a right footed dipping shot that the Liberty keeper didn’t have a chance in stopping the shot.  After that, Hubbard created quite a few good scoring chances, but just couldn’t score.

 

Liberty scored late in the first half to tie the game up at 1-1.  Hubbard came out and dominated the entire second half.  Hubbard created nine shots compared to Liberty’s two.  The Eagles moved the ball very well tonight on the very small football field.  The scoring chances they created were even better than those in the first half.

 

With four minutes left in the game Liberty scored the game winning goal on a 25 yard shot.
