Hubbard 1, Hickory 1

 

Hubbard, OH—Hubbard battled undefeated Hickory to a tie Saturday night. Hubbard took on a veteran team in Hickory starting 10 seniors and one Junior.  

 

The game was pretty even after the first 40 minutes. Hubbard held a slight advantage on shots at goal 5-4. Neither team could maintain any control of the game in the first half.

 

Hubbard started showing glimpses of what they are capable of doing in the second half. Hubbard started dictating the flow of the game in the beginning of the second half but faded midway through the second half. Hickory or Hubbard could not take control of the game from that point on.

 

Hubbard picked up the intensity and started playing with a little fire in their eyes, which was a welcomed site. In the end Hubbard held the advantage of shots at goal 20-9.

 

It was a well fought game for the eagles.  Hopefully, the eagles will start building on this little momentum they started tonight.
