Hubbard 3, Labrae 0

Hubbard, OH- Hubbard fought off a tough Labrae team and gave them their first lose. Hubbard created some very nice scoring chances in the first half but was unable to knock the ball over the line. The Labrae keeper made some very nice saves in the first half off very good looks at goal.

The Eagles held an advantage on shots at goal 17-6 in the first half. Hubbard came out in the second half and peppered shots at the Labrae goal the entire second half. There was no let up in the Eagle attach in the second half like we experienced against Hickory. The ball movement was the best since the Salem game and the defense made a few mistakes but still got away with their first shut out.

Because of the great ball movement and only because of the ball movement the Eagles created 39 shots at goal compared to 11 by Labrae.  This is when the Eagles are at their best and must continue to build on tonight’s game.

Tyler Miller got Hubbard on the board with a beautiful goal near post early in the second half to put Hubbard up 1-0. At the 19:00 mark Rafael Lima scores a very nice goal upper right corner off an assist by Dominic DiMauro to give Hubbard a 2-0 lead. Then 4:50 left in the game Tyler Miller sets up R.J. Lee with a nice pass and one touch shot by R.J. Lee to beat the keeper far post.  All three goals for the Eagles were very nice goals.

Congratulations to our JV team for their 1-0 over Ursuline
