Hubbard loses hard fought game to Lakeview 3-1

CORTLAND, OH-- Hubbard played much better the second time around against the Bulldogs. The first game Lakeview dominated the game. They out shot the Eagles 29 to 7 and dominated much of the possession.

Tonight Hubbard held the edge in shots 13 to 9. Lakeview got on the board just three minutes into the game. A cross came in from the right corner to a Lakeview player about 12 yds away from the goal. The Keeper comes out and the Lakeview player heads the ball down to the ground and the ball bounced over the Keepers head for a goal.

Then 10 minutes later Hubbard gets another bad break when it scores an own goal to go down 2-0. The score remained 2-0 at half time.

Then Hubbard gets on the board just four minutes into the second half. Justin Daly hooked up with Josh Petrusko to narrow the score 2-1 Lakeview. The game pretty much went back and forth from that point on. Daly breaks through with 10 minutes left in the game for a one on one and the defender caught Daly just in time to touch Daly's shot away.

Then four minutes left in the game. Lakeview throws the ball in on a throw in and the Lakeveiw player backs into Hubbard's Keeper before Mike had a chance to make a clean save and that resulted into Lakeveiw's third goal.

Besides some tough breaks that went against Hubbard, they played a very nice game.
