Champion tops the Eagles 3-1 in 40 min game called by Lighting
Hubbard, OH-- Champion snapped Hubbard's 18 game regular season winning streak. The game was made official at half time because of inclement weather. It's a tough way to loss a game. We were getting some very nice looks at goal and I felt very comfortable going into the second half.
Justin Daly's header assisted by Anthony Tombo put Hubbard up 1-0. Then Champion came back and scored three in about 15 to 20 minutes. All of the three goals came off a corner kicks or direct fouls that led to goals. Hubbard's lack of height and size was hurting them in these situations. So, we have some minor problems we need to address, and I think we will be fine.
There was no JV game and the game Sept. 4 against Champion's JV is Cancelled.
Hubbard plays again Sat. Sept. 7 at Home vs Niles
