O, How Sweet it is to be a Hubbard Eagle

Hubbard downs Mooney in the biggest regular season game of the year 2-0. Congratulations Team, Your Great!

Hubbard, Oh-- Hubbard finishes their dream season Undefeated 14-0-2. This is the best team Hubbard has ever fielded in the History of the school. What a game it was!

Hubbard executed their game plan to perfection. Anthony Palestro carried out his duty to perfection. Anthony played a huge role in tonight's game. He was responsible for disrupting the play of Mooney. Anthony did a Great job in his assignment all night.

Both teams played a great game. The score was 0-0 at half time, and Hubbard was taking the offensive in the first half. Tom Angelo scored the biggest goal of his career tonight at the 20:00 left in the game to put Hubbard up 1-0. Rafael Almeida crossed a beautiful ball, Tom ran on the ball and hit a rocket at the keeper. The ball had so much smoke on it the Keeper couldn't hold onto the ball. Great shot Tom! Then 10 minutes later Hubbard hits Mooney on a counter attack. Chris Styn picked up assist number 14 on the year, and Justin Daly blew by the Mooney defender like he was stuck in mud to put the lights out for Mooney 2-0.

Defense and Keeper Justin Hayek all were unbelievable tonight. They totally shut down Mooney all night.

Shots on Goal

Hubbard 30, Mooney 28

Keeper Justin Hayek made 23 saves and a couple great saves.

Great year! Now we have to get ready for post-season. This will be the momentum that Hubbard was looking for going into post-season.

Hubbard opens up next Tuesday, Oct 16, at Home against Salem, time 7 p.m.
