Hubbard Shuts Out Lakeview 5-0 in Key Tac-8 Game

Cortland, OH-- Hubbard wins a key Tac-8 match up, on the road against Lakeview. Hubbard opened the game a little flat, and Lakeview came out with some nice ball movement and possession.

Around 15 minutes into the first half the tide started to turn. Lakeview looked liked they were losing their legs. From that point on, Hubbard dominated play.

Chris Styn and Justin Daly tag teamed the Bulldogs for all five goals. Styn opened the scoring for the Eagles at the 22:00. Chris took the ball and beat two defenders and got Hubbard rolling.

Chris Styn scored twice for the Eagles and had three assists. Justin Daly got his second hat trick (3 goals) this year. A.J. Giancola got an assist on Chris Styn's second goal.

An Early turning point in the first half was when Keeper Justin Hayek stopped a penalty kick when the Eagles were only up 2-0. If they score, the score is 2-1, and Lakeview is right back in the game.

The defense played a very nice game. They didn't give any great looks at goal and only gave up nine shots all game.
