Hubbard 0, Niles 3
Hubbard, Oh—Hubbard and Niles squared off in non
league play in Hubbard’s final home game.
Both teams played an even first half with possession and scoring
opportunities. Hubbard’s best chance came
when Conor Mogg found Tim Kemner down the left side.
Kemner beat the keeper and had the goal called
back on an offsides call.
The score was 0-0 at
halftime. About 12:00 minutes into the
second half Hubbard got called for a trip in the penalty box that Niles converted to take a
1-0 lead.
The game went back in forth and
Niles picked up
an important goal off a 20 yard direct kick to take a 2-0 lead. Then with three minutes left in the game Niles picked up their
third goal on a scramble in front of the net to take a 3-0 lead.
Hubbard played a good game
and all players were credited with a very nice team effort.
