Hubbard 0, Liberty 2

 

Liberty, Oh—Hubbard got down 1-0 early in the game when Hubbard was called for a foul in the penalty box.  Liberty converted the penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead.  From that point on Hubbard played a very good half and created two very nice scoring chances that came up short.  Hubbard out shot Liberty 7-1 in the first half but wasn’t able to knock to ball over the goal line.

 

In the second half Hubbard started pushing forward very aggressively for the last 25:00 minutes of the game but Liberty’s defense was up to the task as they kept Hubbard off the score board.  Hubbard held an 8-4 advantage on shots and a 15-5 shot advantage on the game.

 

Hubbard plays their first home game on Thursday, Sept. 3 against Champion.
