Hubbard 0, Poland 5

Poland, OH-The Eagles opened there 2009 season up with a very strong Poland team and presumably a team that can challenge for a district title.  The Bulldogs controlled ball possession, shots and held the Eagles to five shots at goal.

Poland netted three goals in the first half to take a commanding 3-0 halftime lead.  Hubbard tried to consolidate space by jamming the middle of the field and tried to force wing play from Poland.  Poland was in control of the game from the beginning making it very difficult to create any counterattacking play which is what Hubbard wanted to do.

Hubbard played hard in the second have and conceded two more goals to fall in their opener.   The Eagles played the best team on their schedule in the first game of the season.  Hubbard will be a very pesky team with the rest of their opponents.

Hubbard travels to Liberty next Tuesday, Sept. 1
