What is new?

• On Jan 1, 2000, I joined Scientific Technologies Forming Corporation. What a special start of the new millennium…

The company is not very far from OSU, thus I didn't have to move or change any other aspect of my life. I still live close to the campus area, still feel like a student -- particularly during the school holidays. SFTC is an engineering software company, and the product "DEFORM" is mainly used by manufacturing industries for analysis of metal forming process, such as forging. My responsibilities in the company include User Graphic Interface and Heat Treatment model development. Learning to work in a field I am not very familiar with is somehow difficult, but I am getting through it. Every once a while I still can relax and go to ski, camping etc. No more big mountains, just little snow slopes…

• Officially I graduated this Winter Quarter with my second Mater Degree (in Industrial and System Engineering) from the Ohio State University. Congratulation! But probably I should stop right here. -- It is not so fun to collect many MS degrees…

• I still socialize with local Chinese communities. We had a nice Spring Festival Celebration this year.

•  Ling and me went to the Great Smoky Mountain for spring break. A nice National Park… Have to appreciate what Americans can do for their forests.

• My Mom and Dad recently "made up" their wedding photos -- a little romance that they did not have a chance to enjoy when they were young.
