New!03 Digimon!
This is the season unlike any season digimon fans have ever seen. This season takes place in the real world, and the new digidestined are all fans of their favorite show-get this- DIGIMON! Even though many digimon fans have awaited the arrival of 03, and some of you may have heard some false accutastions, but, our favorite Characters, Yolei, Davis, Cody, Ken, Kari, TK, Izzy, Tai, Sora, Matt, Joe, and Mimi, won't be in 03, but POSSIBLY not 4 the entire season. You've probably heard by now that a new season of Digimon will be starting in April in Japan. The title of the show will be "Digimon Tamers" and will be a totally new take for Digimon. Some people are already putting it down, even though they know nothing about it. I know it's hard to say good bye to all the kids and Digimon we've grown to love, but this season promises to be just as cool, if not cooler, than the previous seasons. Not a whole not has been released about Tamers so far, but it is known that the children all enjoy playing Digimon cards. Instead of taking place in Odaiba, It takes place in Tokyo, West Shinjuku. As with the first two seasons, except the buildings and locations to be based on real life places. The setting of this series is the present day, 2001. It takes place in a different reality from seasons one and two, so the possibility of the other kids making appearances will be little.
A new series means a new type of digivice. This time is the D-ARC. The Digivices have a slot in the top to insert cards, which power up the digimon. There are many kinds of Blue Cards such as Strength and Evolution Cards. These digivices have to be unlocked by an orphan digimon. The following is a translation of Seki Hiromi's (producer of Tamers) feelings on Tamers and why they went a totally new direction. "The Digimon series is entering its third year, so to sort of close a chapter, we decided to subtly change the premise. With 'Tamers' we want to really emphasize the oneness between the Digimon and the children. The reason there are fewer main children is so that the digimon will be able to have a deeper involvement in the drama, and the Card Slash system was added so that not just the Digimon, but the children too, would be able to strategize and take part in the battles. The purpose of the cards is to give the battles a more strategic feel. The combination of a Digimon with a human partner is called a Tamer, but the aim of the series is to trace the path that leads Takato and the others to the realization that they are Tamers. Of course for fans of the serie so far, we're thinking of ways to delight them outside of the TV show. Please continue to watch Digimon, including "Tamers". Also a new movie "Digimon Tamers: the Adventurers' Batte will be in teathers in Japan this summer. The opening song for Tamers will be "The Biggest Dreamer". And the ending is "My Tommorrow".
