RULES
Equitation/Jumper classes can be combined as such: novice&Limit, open&jumpers
You can only ride one horse in an equitation or flat class!
HOCK Hunter Seat Mini Medal and Medal Finals TBA -- 10 points to qualify
You cannot enter both the mini-medal and medal!
Riders showing over 3' cannot enter the mini-medal
Classes: 1st-10pts; 2nd-8pts; 3rd-7pts; 4th-6pts; 5th-5pts; 6th-4pts.
Medals: 1st-10pts; 2nd-6pts; 3rd-4pts; 4th-2pts.
HOCK HUNTER SEAT MINI MEDAL
Held over a course of eight (8) jumps set at 2'6." 4 entries needed to run the class. Horses may not be ridden by more than one rider. Once a rider has won this class (the qualifier), they may not enter it again. At finals judge can call back top riders for a work off (Test: Halt (4-6sec) and/or back). 10pts to qualify. $15 to enter.
HOCK HUNTER SEAT MEDAL
Held over a course of at least eight (8) jumps set at 3'3." 4 entries needed to run the class. Horses may not be ridden by more than one rider. Once a rider has won this class (the qualifier), they may not enter it again. At finals judge can call back top riders for a work off. 10pts to qualify. $15 to enter.
(Tests: Halt (4-6sec) and/or back; hand gallop; figure eight at trot, demonstrating change of diagonals; figure eight at canter on correct lead, demonstrating simple change of lead; work collectively at a walk, trot or canter; jump low obstacles at a trot as well as at a canter- the maximum height and spread for a trot jump is 3' for horses, 2' for ponies; jump obstacles on figure eight course; question(s) regarding basic horsemanship, tack and equipment and conformation.)
