Got to love the timing of the Bush Administration. Carl Rove is up to his better tricks. First, in collaboration with the GOP campaign, the Swift Boat Liars put on a smear campaign.
Kerry asked Bush to denounce the advertisement weeks ago but King George waited until today to do it. That way the ad could have it’s maximum effect and a full media run before he said anything.
It was only after being threatened with exposure for collaboration that he said something. In fact his buddies shot back that the threat of exposure itself was libelous.
This way he forces Kerry to spend money to combat the ads, gets the full effect of the lies, and makes the Kerry campaign look bad if any groups put up an ad criticizing the King.
Excellent job Carl. King George gets to have his cake and eat it too.
