8/12/2004  Prozac in the water. 

It was widely reported this week that Prozac was found in Britain's water supply. Somehow this drug made it all the way through British citizens bodies (un-metabolized), into the sewer system, through the treatment system and back into the fresh water supply.

All this in enough quantity to be detectable by rogue scientists.

"However, the government's Drinking Water Inspectorate said Prozac was likely to be found in such a 'watered down' form that it was unlikely to pose a health risk," The Observer said. Uh huh...sure.

And we wonder why drug prices in the US are so high. They have to be paying for this somehow.
