Gage got the idea for HTF Gang when he hit himself in the head with a toaster and then hit himself in the head with a hammer. Not really, but Gage came up with the idea of HTF Gang and decided to hold auditions for an idea he had for the next generation of Happy Tree Friends. They've got other things to do like star in their own comic, avoid copyright infringment, and mumble. . grumble. . . I've decided to help with the site and add the flair. I'm like that personal advisor person that lurks in the shadows and takes the fall when you get in trouble. I swear I didn't do it.
I was browsing through the characters and noticed that alot of people made characters of themselves. So I decided I wanted to try it. I immediately decided that he would be a racoon because I had taken a great fondess to them for some reason. I started sketching him drawing him in the kind of outfit I typically wear. I ended up adding shoes to make him look more like me and ended up throwing in my favorite sunglasses in. When I finished I thought he didn't look much like me but I still wanted to keep him. So I decided to make him one of my fanchars. I decided on the name Drew because I just thought it sounded like a good name for him.
I was looking at a Happy Tree Friends fan fic when I thought that I could be in there somehow. I asked the writer and she
said, "I'll make you into a Happy Tree Friend then! What do you want to look like?" I told her that I would like to be a
blue bear wearing a school uniform. The school uniform would have a white ripped shirt and a tie, and a black ripped
skirt. I also said to have a ponytail.She drew the pic for me and I loved it. It seemed that everyone else loved her too!
I called her Racoon, after my username, Racoon_bros665, but after a while I decided for Racoon NOT to be myself as
a Happy Tree Friend. So I kept her as my own Happy tree Friend. Racoon the Bear!
I started this character when I was doing a HTF Fianl Fantasy project. (which is STILL alive and willing to finish it anytime...). Ride is a big help, trying to put her Kara and HTF Yuna right in.. When I look at the HTF Yuna, it gets me a bright idea to do a brand new character! I started sketching her and adds and discards, until she was finished, nice and colored. I call her Luna because she has teh staff and clothing with stars, moon, and the sea of the night sky. Also, why I choose that name because it almost fit to Yuna of FFX. She was a mix of Subaru from .hack//SIGN, and of course, Yuna from Final Fantasy X. The strugling part is picking a role for her, and I looked at my OLD character, Leo the Lion King, and relize that maybe a king might need a Court Wizard. So she has her job. But also in her everday life, I wanted to show a little more what a fangirl is so violent about to beautiful anime boys. With Luna falling in love with Vincent, it's a whole new twist to this violent fangirl actions. Poor Kyubi, but yea.. That is part of a traditional HTF parorady. And there you have it! Mostly thank Ride for imspiring me to do a new character. And all of the mixtures of Subaru and Yuna to their proper owners...
Grad was originally suppose to be me in htf form, but wile making him I couldn�t decide if I should add glasses cuz I only had them on half of the time I finally decided to delete them. When I did only half of them got deleted. I decided I like the look so much I decided to make him into a real character loosely based on me then exaggerated. I even gave him a story with Buddy, my first character. He eventually met more of my own characters that I made up for the story after a stop writing the story I had 5 characters so far and I gave them a show room. I called them "The Crew"
Then I made up None she has, to date, the longest time for development I first thought of her in summer school first she was two Characters a deer in a cat, but the horns and the hat made the deer look strange so I dropped it, the idea for the look comes from her personality (or vice-versa I cant remember ^^) I wanted her to be mysterious and that you wouldn�t know what it was going to do next. So there was my new character all it was missing were two things: a name and a gender. the name came from me just wanting to post it so I thought of putting None temporarily *it was about a month after the first thought of her* but after I thought of it I like it to be her real name (also I had a CO-hero named that ) and for gender I didn�t put one. I just thought I make it the opposite every one expected. And that�s how she was created.
I had gotten really bored of my ex-fan character Hopper the Hare, so I decided to make somthing BETTER, CUTER, CUDDLIER & COOKIER. I don't have a picture to scan my drawings and I can't draw good at paint. So I used a picture of Cuddles to edit when I had done the head I saved it and called the file 'No name yet.....' The next day I continued to work on the body and tail at last it was finished, rather taky looking but it was the least I could do. Though Jackal wasn't the original plan I was going to make him a cat so I edited the tail and gave him a zig-zag stripe. And I called him ..........Lemon because of the colour of his fur.
Neko is a ringtail cat - that is- a Bassicaricus Astutus - which may be Greek for smart little fox. or latin for "I trip over my tail".
Neko came into being as a result of my shiny new Flash MX software that I came across due to being the brother in law of it's author.
He was originally supposed to be named CACO like myself, but since he is a ringtail cat , I named him with the Japanese name for cat.
Why a ringtail cat? well, I am planning to buy one- they make great pets and are better mousers than Housecats(although a ringtail is actually a member of the raccoon family, and looks a little like a red panda).
also my nickname on all forums and IRC has been cacomistle for years now.
Cacomistle is the Spanish name for the critter based on the Nahuatl indian name for it- which is Tlacomiztli- which means "half mountain lion"
Neko is not normally drawn with glasses- only here is he a nerd. He is really intended to be a personal avitar for my younger self.
Tackle was created at school,6th period Gym,i was on the benches drawing while the Gym teacher was talking about getting money for the march of dimes,me and my friend were drawing some stuff,so I drew a football player,and I named him Tackle,mostly it was my friend that told me to draw an HTF character,so i guess thats how I created Tackle.
Originally, I had to be a Porcupine, but then the final version was a cat (Kenny) so after some time I decided to make something with Kenny's old version, and tadaa! Here we have Kenny's clone, cloned accidentally! He's a porcupine (with dandruff too, like Flaky�) that is very friendly to everyone and he lets everyone hurt him, because he's too nice to stop them! He rarely gets angry, but when he does, he's very dangerous! He wears a shirt saying "Born To Be Wild!" XD.
She's one of my last characters i'll do for myself at the HJF world. She was all
started when I was playing Irresistiblment by Wildside, a music track for the
dance game: Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. I was not happy that I didn't get
the awsome Gogo the Cat, a schoolgirl kitty whos wepon was a spikeball. So I
decide to get revenge by making this character! ^^; Her design was the mix of
these songs: Speed Over Beethoven (by Rose, where i've done for pants, ribbon,
and baton wepon), Sakura (mixed by Reven-G, Half-cut kimono), and of course:
Irresistiblment (for childhood personalaty, name, and the blue-colored fur.)
Spikeball from Gogo and hair from Leon of Yu-Gi-Oh!. (Forgot season, but he's
the little brother of Sigfreed, if you keep track of those episodes..) And to
remind you, Irresistiblement is a girl. (Her hair just looks tomboyish with long
ponytails.)
She has a story, that one day, her friend Hansel was kidnapped by the Black
Crystal pirates, but years later, relize that her long lost friend became a
pirate. And she hates pirates ever since the Captain of the Black Crystal
pirates kidnapped him. So it's a big conflict for her.

My girlfriend had the idea of drawing me as an HTF and
she thought I could write a bio for him, and making him my own HTF character! Something about him...let's see, he's just a lazy and very sarcastic cat that likes to drink Tea and can become a Super Hero, but since he's so lazy, he's not so useful as a hero...he wears a weird tinker-bell on his tail, that maybe is the cause of his powers...or is it Tea? *Horror music plays*
One very sunny day, I completely felt the need to make another character. I was thinking, "What special traits should this character have?", after deep thinking. I decided to make him my little inner me. A coward and....well, mostly a coward. But something was missing, so I added in another trait which is "no-sense-of-direction". I got the personality done, but I needed an animal and name. I looked at my characters and thought, "I don't have a raccoon in my family!!". So I drew what he I'll look like and he came out just the way I pictured it. Personality; check, animal; check, name? That was really a toughie; I thought many names for him. Nothing, so I made another list of names I like and it came down to, you guessed it, Haruhi.
