| Common Rules * Everyone must have a white out-of-game headband. This headband must be visible if at any time you are out of game for an extended time period. Quick out of game gesture is used for time limits less then two minutes. * All cards must be of the right color and have an up-to-date stamp and initials on it. If it doesn't, then it is an illegal card and counts as cheating. * The following is the color concept for the cards: green = money, red = weapons, blue/purple = magical items, and white is for miscellaneous. * NO SMOKING, NO CUSSING, NO DRINKING, NO UNWANTED TOUCHING. * NO out of game discussion during game play. * No discussing your character with other players. This means keep the mystery. If we find out you are discussing stats and plot and such IC or OC we have the right to expell you from game. * No cheating. * No metagaming. * Costuming is necessary, but can be looked pass. However costuming does help with experience. * All ST decisions are final until discussed later on. * Maximum derangements are 5. any more and the character becomes an NPC * Differential Max trait limits are in effect. Primary = Max, Secondary = Max-1 , and Tertiary = Max-2 Example: Physical(Secondary) traits are 9, Social(Primary)traits are 10, and Mental(Tertiary) are 9 *STARTING CHARACTER RULES* * If this is your first time playing with us your first character must be Type 1. * Any player whom wishes to have an Type 2 character may as long as they have played with us more then a month. * All Type2 characters MUST have a background that is made with Storyteller assistance. * The following things are playable but are only Type 2: Sabbat , Black Spiral Dancers, Pentex, Unseelie, Technocracy, Mauraders, and a few other questionable things. * The following are still not playable by any PC : Baali, True Brujah, Nagarajah, Nephandi, Gafflings, *IMPOTANT BACKGROUND RULES* All characters must have a background within 3 weeks of playing. However if one is not given by the player in that time, We the Storytellers will make one for your character. *Note it may not be to your liking if we make your background and we also have the right not to show you what we have written up for your characters. *Obviously we discourage getting us to make your backgrounds. *IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE POINT RULES* *Maximum experience thta can be held is 10. *A character per session, can purchase, with experience points, up to the following: 1 physical trait, 1 Mental trait, 1 Social trait, OR up to 2 abilities, but not 2 in the same ability OR 1 power level, if time of learning is applicable. OR 1 willpower point OR 1 st approved merit. *IMPORTANT NUMBER OF CHARACTERS RULES* * Any player may have up to 2 characters at any give time. * Characters do not share experience. Meaning each has their own seperate experience points and maynot use one's points for the other's * If you have 2 characters they may NOT know each other well. They may NOT use the same items. They may NOT be of the same faction (ex:brujah,brujah), but may be of the same genre. They may NOT have the same costume, with the only difference being their name card. * Storytellers have the right to refuse a second character to be made or be played on any premise. *IMPORTANT CHARACTER DEATH RULES* *Character death is a touchy subject, but hey it happens. SO if you need space for a while thats cool, but what the Storytellers will NOT TOLERATE is any of the following: Out of game threats or insults, Making a charater based around your last one, metagaming to hunt down and avenge your old character, violence out of character, and bringing other players down out of game because your character is gone. * Any Character that dies is DEAD. No excuses. They are not replayable unless an In Character way is found to bring the dead back. * Players if your character dies you have the following options: Go make a new one, play a second character if you have one, ask to play an Npc for the night, or leave. Changeling Rules * It is recommended that all changeling characters dress in their fae mien or changeling side. If you want to, carry a picture of what your character's real self looks like. However, it is not necessary. Hunter Rules * I am more inclined to allow Hunters other then Hermits and Waywards. * The sight granted by conviction works on this scale. It cancels the power or allows the Hunter to see the unnatural, Only if their Willpower is greater then that of the non-hunter's Mage Rules * Beyond Human Limits is possible. PG 123 Mage Book * Using Willpower is Possible. PG 138 MB * Acting in Concert is Possible. PG 138 MB * Rituals and Extended Magic is Possible. PG 138MB * Fast Casting, Dynamic Magic, Conjunctional Effects count as merits. They can only be earned through gameplay and may not be bought at character creation. The costs are Fast Casting 3, Dynamic Magic 3 and Conjunctional Effects 7 points. * Foci are necessary. * Entering the Umbra and staying in it are both extremely difficult. Mortal Rules * All players must have a preference logged with an ST at character creation, if they wish to change into a supernatural being. Vampire Rules * Costume Rule: All vampire players should have costume make-up on, depicting their humanity. * Blood tests are as follows: Lose = 4, Tie = half, and Win = full. * ALL Tremere must start with the Thaumaturgy Path of Blood. * All Vampires must have their Sires written down. * All Vampires must have their Ghouls written down. * Lowest starting generation is 8 Storytellers have the right to refuse. Werewolf rules * ALL RANKS START AT MINIMUM!!! * Umbral peeking is immpossible. Also, the difficulty to enter the umbra is 10 and if succsful requires a second test. Both throws count as one. If either fail then the stepping fails as normal. Any player that retests this contest MUST throw both tests again. Merits and Flaws * Outside creature type merits and flaws can not be taken from other books, ie: A vampire cannot have Winged which is a changeling merit. * ALL merits and flaws need to be roleplayed out, if you take them. The following merits/flaws have costume/prop/people requirements: Disfigured, One Eye, Monstrous, One Arm, Permanent Wound, Huge Size, Baby Face, Winged, Child, Bound Essence, Ward, Primal Marks, Degeneration, Aging, Mayfly curse, Phylactery The following merits/flaws are limited: Fae Eternity, True Faith, Iron Will, Amnesia, Hunted, Luck, Supernatural Companion, Manifest Avatar, Avatar Companion, Mansion, Nightclub, Unbondable, Fast Learner, Guardian Angel, Magic Resistance |
