Spring Dance

A brook babbles
Quietly through the trees.
A bright green leaf
Watches herself as
She dances in the spring breeze.
The other leaves rustle
While she dances and twirls.
A strong gust blows.
Her twig snaps.
She falls into the brook
And floats away
On silent laughter.
