My goal is to create a foundation for the Heaven's Saints members that find it in their hearts to be a part of a prison ministry. Our motorcycle ministry at present has several chapters that are participating in prison ministries, both adult and youth. It is not in my plans to control or govern any chapters or individuals in their prison ministry outreach. I hope to bring us closer together and form a cornerstone of effective communication, sharing of ideas & experiences, and helping each other to grow, as well as helping those that want to get started in prison ministry to have a plan of action. Prison ministry doesn't just start and finish in the prison, but also carries on to the outside world and the ex-convicts walk with Jesus after his release from an institution. I have experienced the joy and blessings that can come from seeing a person give his life to Jesus and then be released from prison, go home to his family and friends and lead a good christian life. Praise God! I truly believe that a person that gives his life to God has a lot better success rate in the world than a criminal that re-enters the public unsaved. As a prison inmate minister we must give friendship and love, do a lot of letter writing and witnessing and in some cases after release phone calls, and once released; be willing to help the individual find an accountability partner, with like interests.
I pray that this website will encourage others to participate in our prison ministry outreach. I encourage all Heaven's Saints M/M members to use this website as a meeting place and direct interested people to this site, so we can all help them establish a plan of action. Information that can be included on this site would be; regularly scheduled or special events, support group meetings, stories of interest, praise reports, award dinners and individual awards, etc. Let me know what your prison ministry is doing and I'll post it on a special link, or you can just put it on the "guest book", which I hope will turn into our main focal point of communication.
