If you thought all falafel tastes the same, try Sepal's Armenian style falafel, made
with "eight fresh vegetables and herbs." If he can find a table for you, the proprietor
will give you samples of menu items and explain why Armenian food is better than the
Syrian or Lebanese food served at most falafel/hummous/tabouli joints. I must admit,
I agree. Sepal serves up a superior product. The stuffed grape leaves and red lentil
soup are fabulous. For an inexpensive but delicious light meal, try the Shepherd's
Falafel Sandwich for $4.75. Vegetarian and mostly vegan. Closed Sundays and late
evenings. See also: Kareem's. (8/98)
