Hello & WELCOME HOME to you all. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to read our league 'rag mag' (lol). I'd like to welcome each and everyone of you to the league. GL in the games & bring a friend. It is my hope to see a 2000 membership on HomeSweetHome...for now. TY to all the people who give their time to host the games for us to enjoy. If there is a specific time that you look for a tournament, please dont hesitate to post a tag on the tagboard. We are watching for you. Always remember, our hosts are people too and only human. Their time is given freely. And noone is perfect, so please bear with human errors that do tend to happen occasionally. On our front page here is a link to send a postcard to our troops. Please do.I would like to take this opportunity to personally say THANK YOU to all of the TROOPS and their families. This news magazine is meant to be for YOU. And all your participation will be greatly appreciated. Please, don't hesitate to send in your recipes, poems, stories, pictures or anything that you'd like to share with your league friends. At this time please send them to: [email protected] Please take time to sign our guestbook & join our Leagues Yahoo group. If you have any ideas for the news magazine, please forward them to us. As I have said before, this is for HOMESWEETHOME members to enjoy. Without your input, it won't be a success. Looking forward to hearing from you. Although it's a sad thing. I want to warn E1- DO NOT ever click on any link that you may get in an IM unless you chat to the person, to make sure they are the 1 that actually sent the link to you. The hacker link doesnt chat back. There are hackers out there, as I am sure you are aware of that. These hackers have an auto attack. You get an IM from what appears to be from someone on your list. When you click it, it sends you to that program that will do 1 or all of the following: steals your p/w, sends you a vius, and steals your IM list to keep spreading. Its not like the regular 1s we send inviting you to jump into tourneys so no worries on those. ;-) Love you all & stay safe - SSSnackS |

| Hey all,
I've been asked to write a note to you all for our news letter. hmmm what do I say? Well, I really should start with a big thank you to all of you, the members of HomeSweetHome. Without the your support this league would not be here today. Many of you have been here since the beginning and have stuck it through our growing pains. So, I just want to make sure that you all know how important and appreciated you are to both Lori and myself. I was sitting here thinking of what to write and reality sat in. Almost a year ago Lori and I were chatting on Yahoo and I was telling her that she should start a league. Although she had thought about it, it was not anything she was going to do in her near future. However, you know me, I pushed because I knew that she would make a great HA of a League. She had the experience, and although unrecognized by the league we left, she filled the shoes of an HA in such a way that was very impressive. Her answer to me was only if I were there with her because she wasn't doing it alone, and she would think about it. After a few days of me being the persuasive person I am, lol, she IM's me and says HomeSweetHome and gives me the addy. I was shocked on that March 2,2007 to find that HomeSweetHome had been created by Lori589llr. Together we started to work to accomplish our dream of having a league for our friends to come and play in tours without the drama that most leagues experience. We wanted a place where the B.S. was left at the door and the focus was on just having fun and an atmosphere that made everyone feel at home. Not about rules, stats or standings. Just about fun with friends. Now while we have had some curve balls thrown our way and have had many who have tried to ruin this league, we stood our ground and kept going. I have to admit that there have been many times in which we both wanted to walk away but we didn't. Now, here we are almost a year later and still going. We still operate under the same rule of its all about fun. We still believe that this league is not for us, but for our members and it is you who are the deciders of the fate of this league. I am so very happy that you all have decided to keep us around. So, in short, since I have SSS bugging me to hurry up lol, thank you all for a great year and thank you for sticking it our through all our growing pains. I hope that there are many more years of fun to come. Now, if you want to know anything about me personally you have to ask cause if I don't close this and get it to SSS I think she will have me tarred and feathered. Good luck in all the games and I hope you enjoy your stay here with us at Home. IBDarkSunshine14 |

| Hello Everyone,
I'd like to thank each of you, members and staff alike for making this league a success this far. A year ago in the middle of the night while Ib and I were chatting and joking around she convinced me to create HomeSweetHome, little did we know then that it would be what it is today. The reason for it actually becoming the league it is, is not only the hard work we put into it. But the support, participation and love our members and staff have put into it and we thank you!! Your all awesome wonderful people and we are proud to call you friends and family. I'd like to welcome all of our new members to the league and hope you have a good time with us. Feel free to let us know if there is anything we can do for you. We now have a yahoo group for chatting, photo sharing and birthday wishes and reminders. We would like to host special birthday parties for you on your birthday in any game you like. Please let us know when your birthday is and your favorite game so we can help you celebrate your special day. Please feel free to join our Yahoo group. There is a link to it here on the front page. Please, all members remember to check out the rules of play on our homepage under the tab- Ladder drop down menu to "rules". This tells you of rules and sportsmanship. Thanks. This helps the fun & play to run smoothly. Guess I am suppose to tell you a bit about me. I live in WA. Im a mother of 4 daughters and one son, proud grandmother of 5 boys which two spend a lot of time with me. Im disabled and spend majority of my time online. Im a pogoaholic. My fav games are Turbo21 hehe and Bowling. I'll play most any game pogo has, don't really like Hearts and avoid it when I can lol. Im not extremely competitive but wont turn down a challenge. I enjoy comedy movies, most any music, snowy winters and mild summers. Dislike cats, love dogs, own a bird and a rat as my pets. Love my pogo friends as if they lived next door to me. lol I'd like to thank you all again very much for being a part of our group and making this league a happy place to play and have fun with friends and family. Keep up the great work staff and have fun members. Again if there is anything to make your stay with us more enjoyable please do not hesitate to contact one of the staff and let us know. We are only here because you are here and your voice counts! Love and Hugs to all Lori58llr |

| Old Age, I decided, is a gift.
I am now, probably for the first time in my life, the person I have always wanted to be. Oh, not my body! I sometimes despair over my body, the wrinkles, the baggy eyes, and the sagging butt. And often I am taken aback by that old person that lives in my mirror (who looks like my mother!), but I don't agonize over those things for long. I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become more kind to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avant garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant. I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging. Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 & 70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I will. I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old. Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect. I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver. As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong. So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And, I shall eat dessert every single day, if I feel like it. Sent in by-Teri |

| I want to thank all of those people who are responsible for the success of HomeSweetHome. Not just the staff, ib, Lori, myself and teri, but all of the TD's who have worked so very hard, as well as the players. Who are the very reason this league came to exist. Everyone has made a contribution and I believe that we can now declare ourselves, all of ourselves, winners. This league is successful, growing, and a whole lot of fun to play in. Thank you all so very much from the bottom of my heart, not to mention the heart of my bottom. lol. Shadoefingers | ||||||||
