   Family Daycare

       Housekeeping Area

This area has our dress up clothing spinner, kitchen, dolls and couch.  We love to make meals for Miss Sheri and use our imaginations!  Also seen in this picture is our table where we eat our meals, do our preschool and create lots of fun projects!

                              Reading/Media Area

Our media cabinet has lots of learning CDs, tapes and videos for us to use.  Instruments are kept here for the times when we just need to create some music of our own!  The green drawers have games, sorters and lots of fun things to help expand our minds.  The book cart is a fun addition to the room and holds our infant toys in the lower bins.  The chairs and couch are close by for a cozy reading time!

Train/Block/Dollhouse Area  

This is one of the most popular areas in the whole daycare!  The children create lots of towns and settings during their play and you never know what you will see next!  It's a really fun place to be when the construction is taking place.  The indoor large motor space is nice to burn some energy when we can't get outside. Nap mats and linens are washed weekly or as needed and are stored away from play.  

    Art easel, Art Storage Cabinet

The cabinet holds every imaginable art material - paints, papers, brushes, collage materials, everything!  We love to write on the dry erase board and make pictures with our friends.  The side of the cabinet serves as a parent information center to keep parents up to date on news from the daycare.  

The View from the Deck 

Our deck serves as our outdoor play space.  We have a play house, small slide/climber and rockers as well as a ball cart that we use both in and outside.  We also take walks around the neighborhood as much as possible.  We are lucky to have more space at our new home for outdoor play and nature exploration!!

Each child has a cubby for extra clothing, essentials such as sunscreen, diaper ointment, diapers, etc., as well as having a folder space for items that are taken home daily such as notes, projects, etc.  We have a bathroom off of the entrance to our home located across the hall from the daycare space.  Our kitchen is also adjacent to the daycare area making meal preparation and cooking projects easy and supervised.
