Mission Statement:
The HSC is an independent community organization serving older adults and the neighboring community through the provision of education, information, health, recreation, nutrition and social services. The Center is committed to assisting seniors in leading independent, secure, healthy and fulfilled lives within their own community. The Center shall continue to anticipate and be responsive to meeting the changing needs of all older adults in the community through progressive leadership and responsible financial management.
The Hollywood Senior Center, serving older adults and their family members since 1973, is a multipurpose community center for people age 50 plus. A wide selection of interesting education, health promotion, social and recreational programs is offered for active retirees. Fulfilling volunteer opportunities are also available.
Also provided are support services to protect and enhance the safety and independence of seniors living at home. Care planning and coordination, information and assistance are provided under contract with the Multnomah County Area Agency of Aging office.

Center Staff:
Executive Director: Jim Paynter retired about the first of the 2009 year. The new Executive Director is Amber Kern-Johnson.
Wellness and Educational Opportunities are the core of what we do at the Hollywood Senior Center.
