| With HSC: 7/28/02 Concert Pieces Written: 5 Works in Progress: 1 Editors:-- Music History: Richard had always had a strong interest in music. Even from a young age he was interested by it, even though he only knew of the vocal aspect. He would enjoy singing his way around the house, and was even in a choir for grade 3 and 4. But the best aspect of music was introduced to him in 5th grade, insruments. He started on the recorder and quickly learned time, rythm, and accents, even though he admits he was never very good at the recorder. When 6th grade came, he was asked what instrument he WANTS to play, and chose the b flat trumpet. He quickly rose to the higher level of his music class, learning scales and songs with ease. He graduated his middle school in Honors Band and winning a music award. Richard completed his ninth grade year continuing with the love of music. He began writing and he can honestly say he enjoy every aspect of the word MUSIC. He continues to play well, write amazingly, and even conduct like a pro. He is the one of two composers of this website to have any conducting experience. |
