I am Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology.
For my doctoral research I investigated the role of calcium channels in receptor mediated vasculopathies in metabolic disorders, the results of these studies are published in leading scientific Journal. Following this I joined the Rudolf Bucheim Institute of Pharmacology at GIessen, Germany, for furthering my research work in the area of oxidative stress and cardiovascular disorders, where in i focused on Soluble Guanylyl Cyclase and NADPH oxidases as primary targets to develop novel class of drugs to treat various cardiovascular disorders. To further my work in this area I moved to Monash Univesity, Melbourne, Australia. After accomplishing the goals set, I took up an offer with the Centre for Research in Vascular Biology to further my research interests, wherein I am focused on studying the role of adult progenitor cells in Cardio and Vascular Disorders.
I have good research skills in preclinical Pharmacology and Regulatory
Toxicology and hence would wish to pursue my carrier in Pharmacological Research as a pre
clinical pharmacologist and regulatory toxicologist (quite
uncommon combination indeed).
Previously
I have worked as Scientist II at Torrent Research Center, (R & D of Torrent
Pharmaceutical Limited) Gandhinagar, Gujarat. India, in the Dept., of
Pharmacology in the area of new drug discovery in diabetes, hypertension and
cerebral ischemic disorders. Here I was also was involved in some safety
pharmacological and regulatory toxicological studies.
Apart
from my interests in pharmaceutical research I am a clinical veterinarian (pet
animals) and offer consultancy service to pet owners in need. Presently I am
consultant vet surgeon (pet animals)
to Akshaya Veterinary Clinic, Mathikere, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
My nonacademic interest are playing tennis, football, traveling, trekking in wild, stamp collection and interacting with diversified people.
My
idea of making this web page is to advertise my self in the networking arena so
as to come in contact with the like minded/interests people, to share
their thoughts and also to help all those people who can benefit from my
expertise.
I
look forward to all those who can help me and as well who can get help from me.
