I graduated from Yorktown High School in 1994. I knew upon graduation that I wanted to pursue a career in education. I began my teacher training at Ball State University in the fall of the same year. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in education in December of 1998. I completed my Master's Degree in July of 2002. |

Upon graduating from Ball State University in 1998, I began working for the Muncie Community School System as a substitute teacher. I worked in nearly all of the elementary schools in Muncie. I especially enjoyed working at Sutton and I knew that this is where I would like to begin my permanent teaching career. I was hired to teach third grade at Sutton for the 1999-2000 school year. I decided to switch to first grade beginning with the 2000-2001 school year. I continued my work with first grade students through the 2003-2004 school year. I made the switch to kindergarten beginning in the 2004-2005 school year. This is my tenth year of teaching, and I truly love working with students who are just beginning their educational career. |

I have been married to my husband Scott for eleven wonderful years. He is a 1990 graduate of Jay County High School and a 1995 graduate of Ball State University. His degree is in accounting. He works as a Budget Analyst at Ball State University. Scott and I have three beautiful children. Isaac is seven years old and is in first grade at Pleasant View Elementary School in Yorktown. Jonah is six years old and attends kindergarten, also at Pleasant View. Our daughter Zoe is two. She enjoys playing with her big brothers. We love spending time with our children. Needless to say, they keep us very busy. They are truly a blessing!
I come from a very loving family. My mother's name is Ruth and my father's name is Jeff. They live and work here in Muncie. I also have a sister named Kallie. She attends Ball State University in pursuit of her MBA. She is enganged to a wonderful man named Alex. They plan to be married in March.
When Scott and I were married I gained a whole new family. I now have three wonderful sister-in-laws (all of whom have loving spouses), four beautiful nieces and three adorable nephews. I also have a terrific mother and father-in-law. |
