Popc orn Sales-Jamie Talamotas…sent email list sign up…has letter for her for meeting to review sales…need to get in registration. Jim Hogan will deliver letter to Jamie. Wolves need to be on list and slots can be shuffled. Bears can be flexible. Jaime to coordinate schedule. Incentives for boys…patches and Den with hi sales gets pizza party. She has volunteers (who?) to help..see website and that will help with info.

Has paid storage rentals got one month off…$860 w/discount

Rockies….still to come with about $6,000 dollars left

Committee agreed to reimburse for Storage. Troop reimburse back for half the storage. Steph to get check for $440 dollars from troop 873. Rockies tickets were mostly used. Minimal out of pocket cost to troop.

Volunteer s do not need to come to chair meetings….maybe a quarterly volunteer meeting….recommendation from Jim Hogan. Youth Protection training needed. (Again, part of packmaster? We need a checklist) Will help parents getting active. Fritz likes Jim doing it for the entire group. Do it at a pack meeting and surprise parents. Meeting to be held in Septmeber.

Quarterly meeting for parents:

Cover letter with check box…for volunteer position. Possible fee for adults who do not volunteer. We are about the boys. Maybe just communication to talk to parents. Working together….Assigning about 3 people to parents to push the volunteer selection. Fifty dollars will be the fee…will we actually collect. Many think it is wrong to charge money. Do it in den meetings and get parents involved. Take list to the Dens and get parents . Show value to volunteers. Need bingo sheet that shows what positions are needed. Volunteers need more information. Have all position heads type out what they do and put it on paper. Voted to delete reference to collect money, as long as people go to push people. Pushing Den leaders for volunteers. Need a volunteer coordinator. Will re-address fee at start of calendar year 2009 if shortage of volunteers.

Parent Guide-three different and put them together to make one. Have Den leaders do this? Two lists…one for Tigers and one for all the boys. Mike Miller and Mrs. Miller can help with Newsletter…maybe be good to approach to help with the packet…to keep it updated. Have them do the calendar as an attachment for the annual calendar. The parents packets are already pdf. Need Den Leaders for Sub-committe. Dave T will lead the parent guide and get Den Leaders and Sean and contact people for a date for the meeting.

Pack Master-Joe Hogan - Define…application to locate info used by the pack. It has boys names and leaders, achievements and financial. Will coordinate people and will work with people. Going to link with the pack website. Pack master from 870 got installed into varies homes. Joe needs to get software…and get a training session to chair-people. And he will show examples and do a review. He will get disk with codes from Carlo T. He will meet with Levi before Round up. Levi will collect applications at round up.

Need to talk about paper airplanes at Sept meeting…873 boy scouts will be helping. Also will have a parent training session at the meeting. Training will have dual purpose, get parents trained as volunteers and also informs the parents what and why the scout leaders have to do what they do. Dave L. recommends the leaders to do a flag ceremony at Round up in August . For September the Webelos II will perform the flag ceremony.

Volunteers…need someone to write out descriptions…..Stephanie volunteering.
