Ranch East-West Regional Trail
Park
at Mountain Vista
High School at Mountain Vista Ridge and Wildcat Reserve
Parkway.
Distance of hike is approximately 3 miles with a brief stop at
Highlands Point
Overlook.
2/10
– Sunday - Chatfield
State Park
Take
C470 west, exit on
Wadsworth Blvd. Enter on west side of
Chatfield State Park.
Go to King Fish Parking. There will be a 5-6$ daily parks pass
required. (15
min drive time). Distance of hike is approximately 3.5 miles.
3/8 –
Saturday – South Rim Trail, Roxborough
State Park
Head
south on Santa
Fe to Titan Road
(4.2
miles south of C-470 intersection). Turn
right (west) on Titan
Road. Continue heading west on Titan Road.
It will curve and begin to
head south—becoming North Rampart
Range Rd (3 miles). Continue
south past Roxborough
Village
and the Foothills
Water Treatment Plant (3.5 miles). At the intersection of North Rampart
Range Road and Roxborough Park Road,
turn left onto Roxborough
Park Road. Take the next right
(about 50 yards
away) to enter the park. Distance of hike is approximately 3.5
miles.
4/5 – Saturday - 9:00am - Noon – Renew the Ranch
hike with Metro Districts.
Participate
in a community wide event to clean up our neighborhood! This is a great
opportunity to demonstrate the cub scout promise. The meeting place
will be communicated as soon as it has been determined.

Square, Golden
Take
C-470 to I-70. Head west on I-70
and take almost
immediate exit on Morrison Road.
Go north approx 1 mile. Heritage Square is on the left. Park
in Heritage
Square,
lower parking lot. (Drive
time 25 min.)
Distance of hike is 3.9 miles.

- Sunday – Devil’s Head
National Recreational Trail
Take
Santa
Fe south to Sedalia.
Turn right on County Road 67 and head SW of Sedalia 10 miles to Rampart Range
Road.
Go south approx 6 miles to obvious parking lot and trailhead (45 min
drive
time). Distance of hike is 4 miles.

is approx 4 miles. Bring
$$ for ice cream.

Sunday – Canyonview
Nature Trail,
Castlewood Canyon
State Park
Take
I-25 to Castle Rock,
exit onto Founders
Parkway
eastbound. Take Founders Parkway
to Hwy 86, go east on Hwy 86 four miles to Franktown. Turn South on Hwy
83 (S.
Parker Rd) and
go five miles south to the main park entrance. Distance of
hike is
approximately 1.2 miles.

– Saturday – Waterton
Canyon
From
C-470, take Wadsworth
south for several miles until you see a turnoff
for Waterton
Canyon on
your left (This is the point
where Wadsworth
starts heading west). Drive south for several hundred yards. You'll see
a
parking lot on your left,
and a small recreation
center on your right. Park in the
parking lot.
Distance of hike is approximately 4 miles.
