KCard : NLP in influence
|
NLP and influence
NLP is
often associated with influence and manipulation. This is a mistake which likely
originates in the first techniques developed by NLP which were mainly
oriented to change (psychotherapy in particular). NLP was not initially
developed with manipulation or influence in mind. However,
what is true is that NLP can be used to develop influence because of its
effective and highly pragmatic behaviour model which initially served the
development of the therapy techniques. NLP techniques in
influence
Some techniques
of NLP have direct and obvious applications in influence, such as the Milton
Model with its powerful suggestion language patterns, or the Meta Programs
which help to predict behaviour. Others
elements have less direct usage but can be equally useful. The Meta Model helps
improve understanding and changing of a persons vision
of a situation (to be used with caution) or the preferred representational
system concept to improve communication. |
