| I co-sponsor Heydi Fabiola with my friend, Gin. Heydi is sponsored through Children International. She was born in December 2001 to Juan and Maria in Cacerio El Refugio, Guatemala and now 1 year old. Her father is a daily worker and her mother is a homemaker. Heydi has 2 older sisters ~ Elida Azucena, age 4 (who I sponsor) and Lesly Melisa, age 3 (who is sponsored by my friend, Gin). Spanish is the language that Heydi is learning and is spoken by her family. The family lives in Rural Guatemala, outside of Guatemala City, in a concrete block house, which has a concrete floor and a corrugated metal roof. |

| The house has one bedroom and a kitchen. The family cooks over an open fire and has running water in the home and a latrine. Little Heydi is healthy, though small, at 2 feet tall and 18 pounds. She is still too young to attend school, but enjoys playing with dolls and dancing. The benefits that Heydi receives through our sponsorship, include medical and dental care, clothing, emergency food, and educational assistance, when she is old enough for school. |
