Adho lives in the Marsabit District of Northern Kenya, which near the Chabli Desert. The majority of the people who live in this area are of the Gabra tribe, though I do not know yet if Adho's family belongs to this tribe.
Adho lives there with her parents, brother, and sister. Her parents own some goats, which they use to generate income via the meat, milk, and skins.
Through my sponsorship, Adho receives schooling, food, and health care, while the community is being trained in creating income generating projects that have reliability and self-sustainablilty.
