Clay And Kelly Birth Chart Analysis

There are layers and layers of information to look at when interpreting a chart so I will try an offer a global perspective -- feel free to ask specifics later and I will respond to those.

I have been using birth chart information in my work for 35 years and find the insights to be stunning and helpful for my clients...
it is a bit limiting not to have the birth times of Clay or Kelly, but there is still lots of information that can be discovered about each individual and, in turn, the two as a couple.

THE CLELLY TEMPERAMENTS
Clay is Firey and masculine in his alignment to life - (this has nothing to do with gender it is simply a way to express oneself in the world) - Firey folks are confident, self expressive, self-sufficient, expansive, independent, love action, love to look to the future, idealistic and positive. Kelly is Earthy and feminine in her nature. Earthy feminine expression is very self contained, nurturing, practical, building, possessive, security conscious, need to translate action into substance.

From just a temperament standpoint, it is obvious to me that throughout the tour, each has just been him or herself. When Kelly seems (or should I say used to seem) more self- contained and mysterious and harder to read than Clay, she was expressing her natural contained Earthy style. Firey folks, especially extroverted Firey folks are exressive and open and value honesty. So, initially, we saw Clay openly gaga and Kelly more reserved.

When a personal line was crossed and each began to see the other as a "partner", then other factors kicked in. Clay and Kelly became the "Clelly" and each started behaving differently. She became a bit more assertive in her wardrobe statements (I love Clay, etc.) , her "Iloveyous" and her obvious questions--ie: "What do you think of Kelly Clarkson". Clay, on the other hand, started going somewhat underground. He started taking on the more reserved role- cautious. It is really like that for all of us in relationships...our romantic parts often express quite differently than our friend, mother, career, sibling parts.

THE CLELLY ROMANTIC PARTS

The birthcharts of Kelly and Clay show that each will be transformed by an intimate relationship. Marriage and partnership are deeply important to each. Kelly's chart has a more intense focus on love and sharing in an intimate way - not just because she is female but because she is learning lessons about nurturing, feeling and creativity this lifetime vs. ambition and career. 60% of her chart is focused toward the eventual connecting and sharing of her intimate feelings. This is not to suggest that she will not follow a career path, it simply means she will need to become more balanced to include home, family and marriage as well as her career.

Clay, on the other hand, will love deeply and intensely and be loyal as the day is long once his heart is committed. However, one must first capture the elusive Sagittarian ( noted as the bachelor sign in astrology). He is learning about how to be more grounded, earthy, discrimiating and practical and his senstive nature craves sharing his heart. He very idealistic and Kelly is more down to earth. Do you think it is any accident that both Kelly and Faye are Taureans?

Astrologically, if you want to understand how two people who appear to be quite different in temperament can thrive romantically, you start looking at relationship symbols in each chart to see what each needs and wants from a partner and interaction between the symbols in the individual charts show whether or not the individual will have challenges in personal relating or find love a "smooth road".

Kelly and Clay each have highly senstive love symbols in their charts, when they each love, they want to connect from a FEELING place. Clay's love symbol is deep, intense, sexual, loyal, possessive, passionate. Kelly's love symbol is universally loving, forgiving, highly romantic and wanting to "merge" with the loved one.

Kelly's love symbol works through a couple of Sagittarian planets in her chart so she is LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH FIREY, FREE, INDEPENDENT, HONEST AND FUN life expression that will balance her internal grounded nature. Clay's love symbol works through, and connects with a symbol of marriage and partnership. The boy is internally ON THE HUNT for a partner.

There are several points of connection between the two charts in all of the right places for a long lasting partnership. However, each will have to be given space to be his and herself. Clay will need lots of freedom, and Kelly will need lots of reassurance of his love and committment. No matter how independent Miss Independent appears, she is extremely vulnerable romantically. However -- no slouch. She is also strong, ambitious, shrewd, and powerful.....

Clay, on the other hand, needs lots of venues for self-expression - lots of space and the deep knowledge that he has a partner that he can trust with HIS deep vulnerable self. His chart shows that he is not as comfortable with his internal emotional/passionate nature
as he could be and will have to explore that slowly and with caution.

Kelly will have to exercise and develop her Taurean patience and let Clay move toward her in his own time. Kelly has many assertive and ambitious parts of her character that encourage her to "go for it" once they are engaged.....this has worked wonderfully for her career but might need tempering when dealing with OMC. Believe me, honey, he is worth the wait!


Clay and Kelly each have the ability to operate in the world in a very self-actualized way, but the one yearning for each, deep within, is to be connected romantically with a partner.

This is a complex match, but a good one. Individually, Clay and Kelly are strong, ambitious, talented with lots of deep emotional needs that can be projected into their work, friends, family and worthy causes. However, I am betting on a long lasting partnership full of passion, power struggles, intimacy, laughter, companionship and love..
