Pre-Law Major Timeline:
Freshman Year:

-Research Law Careers and Law School Information (ex.   what it takes to be a law student)

-sign up for the pre-law mailing list by emailing
JACI. This will help keep you informed of the pre-law club's events and meetings. It is important that you attend the meetings for information that will help you out in getting into the law school that you aspire to attend. Don't go to Dr. Gabrielli your senior year, two weeks before the LSAT and ask for help......too late. Now is the time to help yourself.

- Be involved with campus activities, the more involvment on your las school application, the better. It will be a benefit to show that you started campus and community activities during your first year of college, verses waiting until your last year.

Sophmore Year:

-Try to enroll in some of the recommended courses, these will help you on the LSAT, and also in law school.

-Think about doing an Internship during the Summer. (possibly at a lawyers office or some other connected field)

-Start to Practice the LSAT by attending FREE practice tests at HPU

Junior Year:

-Make an appointment to see the Pre-Law advisor, if you have not done so already.

-Continue Course-work geared toward higher levels of thinking....(logics,philosophy,english, math, poli sci, etc.)

-Study for the LSAT and take all practice LSAT avaliable.

-Don't be afraid to ask questions of others that are applying to law schools. Some of you best info will come from your peers.

-Visit Law Schools

-During the end of your junior year, start to think about:
     - recommendations
     - personal statement
     - applications

-Register for LSAT and LSDAS/LSAC services if taking the test during your Junior year, or immediately following, during the June testing.
Senior Year:

-Sign up for LSAT and LSDAS/LSAC services if taking the OCT., DEC., or FEB. LSAT during your senior year.

-obtain law school applications and apply!!!

-obtain dean's certification letter.

-submit law school applications

-Accept admissions from the law school of your choice

-apply for financial aid

-GRADUATE!
