The history of Harry Potter Planet goes back to around five or so years ago, when I began my first website, called Video Gaming World. The purpose at the time of the site's creation was to just get a feel for HTML and website design. After about a year of updating, I stopped editing the site and just let it pretty much rot. It's still available for viewing, but save your time (and your eyes, too).

            So after a year or two, after I picked up my first Harry Potter book, and after I cruised through the only available five books, I decided to open a Harry Potter website. Little did I know how much trouble it was to keep up with everything. The original design was pretty pathetic, but it must have changed and revamped about ten times, until what it looks like today. Just recently, it went under another revamp, which I must say is definately the best yet. I'm slowly going through the old content, and updating it to include the new layout, as well as (the most important thing) changing and adding to the content itself. As soon as the summer of 2006 comes, much of the site will be updated to include the new layout and new material. The editorial section I hope will be up and running (as soon as I get my hands on a couple of writers), as well as the News Archives, and news will be updated almost daily.

            After hard work and heck, I hope you all enjoy this site, whose history is being made everyday.
