Do Not Disturb Sign Removed

The "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door at JK Rowling's official website has been removed. For instructions on how to open the door, highlight the text below.

---->
First, click on the pink eraser on Jo's desk to get to the room with the door. Once there, drag the rock hiding behind the plant across to the mirror. Let go of the rock, and the mirror should break. In the space where the mirror was, there is a key. Put the key in the key hole, and click on the message about the broken mirror. Close it out, and simply type "reparo." (Note: there is no specific space to type the word.) The mirror should then repair itself, and inside of that mirror, click on the door at the far end. The main door will now open to reveal Jo's desk. There will be a black bok with a needlw on top of it. Click on the needle and drag it into the 12:00 position. It will move out of the way to reveal a paper. Click on the paper, and you then have 25 minutes to take the W.O.M.B.A.T. test. <----

If the sign is still on the door for you, then try the following:

- Select another language, and if it works there, go back to your original language.
- Refresh the page.
- Delete your internet cookies.

Order of the Phoenix: July 2007?

Box Office Mojo recently reported that the fifth movie in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will be released on July 13, 2007. However, please regard this strictly as a rumor for now, as there has been no word on this by Warner Brothers. We'll keep you posted on any updates.

Sunrise OotP Special

Thanks to the Harry Potter Fan Zone and Veritaserum, you can now view a video of the Order of the Phoenix set special which recently aired on the Australian TV show "Sunrise." The special includes interviews with Dan, Emma, Rupert, and Katie about the fifth movie. When speaking of what scenes they had done, Emma said, "I've just shot a scene where I blast [Ron] and slam him against the back wall, because he makes a very patronizing...comment. But apart from that, we're getting on very well."

You can see the video courtesy of Veritaserum here.

More OotP News, Sirius Gary Oldman

CBBC Newsround's Lizio recently attended the the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix set, and got the oppurtunity to interview the stars. A video of the interview can be seen here, and for those who don't feel like watching it, here is a synopsis of what was said thanks to Mugglenet:

According to Dan, "I was meant to film the kiss last week, but I had gastric flu, so Katie, umm, well she may have escaped this time... but I'll catch her one day!" Katie said she was both excited and nervous about the kiss. Emma said she would be sniggering in the background. The filming of that particular scene has been postponed for a few weeks.

Recently, they've been filming the scenes involving the Room of Requirement and quite a lot in the Forbidden Forest, including the part where the centaurs rampage after Umbridge.

David Heyman said the film would be released either summer or fall 2007, and the sixth film would be out late 2008. He also mentioned that a trailer should be revealed by the end of this year.

Also announced today was the return of Gary Oldman as Sirius Black. Oldman's long-time manager Doug Urbanski closed the deal this morning with producer David Heyman.

"I'm so relieved and happy," said Urbanski. "I can't put my mind in the place of the producers, but I would've thought that when they read the book, a call to us would've been very high on their list. Obviously, the character of Sirius Black is key."

Oldman had been offered several different film roles in the time it took Warner Brothers to make a decision on the role of Black, Gary's manager mentioned. However, both Gary and his manager are delighted with the highly anticipated outcome. Urbanski commented:

"It's a wonderful role. Gary read the script last night, and he read part of it to me on the phone this morning. The end of the story is: Gary's in it. It's a terrific script, and he's so happy to be back."

Thanks to GaryOldman.info for the news.

New OotP Filming Information

At the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards in London yesterday, the Harry Potter movies were honoured with the Empire Outstanding Contribution Award. Dan Radcliffe accepted the award, and Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and David Heyman were also present. Some pictures from the event can be seen at Getty Images.

Two interviews that give nice Order of the Phoenix updates were conducted with Dan, Rupert, and David Heyman. Heyman was interviewed for a small article on Empire's website, providing us with some new information on Order of the Phoenix filming:

"Weve done a little bit of action so far. Weve done some stuff involving centaurs and Grawp, who is Hagrids 16ft brother. The kids have to act against a lot of blue screen for characters like Grawp, but thankfully theyre used to that by now."

He also updated everyone on the filming schedule:

"Were actually shooting until the middle of May, said Heyman, and then we break up for two months so the kids can do exams. Then we pick up in July and we shoot until October or November."

Additionally, Dan was quoted in an article from BBC1, where he talks about filming his first kissing scene in the series:

"It'll be odd because one of my parents will be on set. It will be embarrassing but hopefully I'll work past that and be utterly professional but I'll probably keep screwing it up so that I can keep doing it."

Dobby And Other House Elf In GoF

Apparently, the house elves were not cut from the Goblet of Fire movie entirely, as they were spotted on the DVD about 6 minutes and 25 seconds in. They make their very brief appearance at the campsite at the Quidditch World Cup, in which they are both riding on camels and take a short look at each other. Thanks to Mugglenet, we have two photos of them, which were digitally brightened in order to get a better look at the elves' faces.

  - House elf (who appears to be Dobby)
  - Other house elf

Note: For the first picture, there has been no confirmation that this is Dobby. The elf does, however, look identical to him.

JK Rowling - A Billionaire

An annual list of the richest people in the world has recently been published by Forbes, and they have ranked the wonderful Harry Potter author at #746 with an approximate net worth of $1 billion.

Author had a banner year last year. Last July, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth book in her widely successful Potter series, was a huge hit. Rowling sold 60 million books worldwide last year, bringing the tally to 310 million copies of Harry Potter books sold. In November, Warner Bros. released Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth Potter film and reversed a creeping Harry box-office slide. The movie pulled in $287 million in the U.S., the highest grossing film in the series after the debut film. A source in the Rowling camp says that last book in the series will be out in 2007.

Of course, the last part of this should be taken striclty as a rumor, as no announcement has been made. However, this would be fairly accurate as JK mentioned in an interview that book 7 would probably take about two years. We'll keep you posted on any new announcements.

Tons of Updates at JKR's Site

JKRowling.com has recently been updated to include many new changes. There are many different visual effects in addition to five new secrets to look for. A MuggleNet visitor went through the site and summarized the updates.

The "?" room, with the closed door, now has two bottles that you can pick up and pour drops from. They do nothing, so far (although they are involced with one of the new secrets). In the "Extra Stuff" bulletin board, there is a small doodle pad, which you can pick up the pen and draw on. There are a few new books on the bookshelf in her "Links" area, including "Sense and Sensibility" and "My Favorite Spells". Her "Fan Sites" trophy shelf is new, and in the "Rubbish Bin" there are some baby toys, Mackenzie's bib, and a small stuffed piggie. There is also a small pile of magnitized word magnets, that are movable, and a very old and gross looking cup of coffee. Oh yes, and the butterfly is now orange.

Thanks to Mugglenet reader Ashley for the synopsis.

Snowy Opening for OotP Movie?

Despite the sweltering, sunny beginnings of the Order if the Phoenix book, the Telegraph is reporting that Warner Brothers is moving their filming location due to the lack of snow in parts of Scotland. It will be filmed now at Fort William, because the "snow-capped mountains are vital for the opening sequence." Perhaps this is not the opening scene they are shooting (as they usually film the most pressing scenes first), but either way, take this as a rumor for now.

GoF Remains Without an Oscar

At the 78th annual Academy Awards, Goblet Of Fire unfortunately didn't pick up the Oscar in the category of "Achievement in Art Direction," losing to Memoirs Of A Geisha. Not one Harry Potter film so far has won an Oscar.

However, there were some Potter stars who were able to pick up an award for other movies. Brendan Gleeson (Moody in GoF) starred in "best live action short film" winner Six Shooter. Ralph Fienners (Vodemort in GoF) gave his voice in "best animated feature film" winner Wallace And Gromit in the Curse Of The Were-Rabbit.
