| Hi-lo! 'Tis your Webmistress Hyper_HpGrl. I want to discuss (Ooooh! Big word!) the Harry Potter book burnings. Here we go: I have something I want to know the answer of. It's been bugging me a lot lately and I can't seem to find the answer. Why are people burning the Harry Potter books? People say Harry Potter is evil and leads you to Satanism. How can a book that never says ANYTHING about religion lead you to Satanism? I also want to know, if you burn Harry Potter, why don't you burn C. S. Lewis's "The Chronicles of Narnia?" Or how about "The Lord of the Rings" by T. R. R. Toilken? Why not Robin McKinley's "The Hero and the Crown?" Why? TELL ME THAT!!! I also want to know how a book can be evil! Books are the wings of your imagination that help you soar! The more you read, the more open your mind is. The more you read, the more you can imagine! Harry Potter is actually a very good thing for me and many others. Before I read Harry Potter, I didn't like to read! Now I read all the time. I love to read. Enough about me! | Name= Rebecca Age= 16 I really don't think Harry Potter is evil. And I agree with Hyper_HpGrl. Why don't they burn all other books? For me, these fantasy books take me to places you normally can't go in reality (i know, corny). And plus, I've written a story that is 150 pages so far on fantasy stuff! Harry Potter is not evil. That's ridiculous. |
