After I bought my first chinchilla, Jekku, I wished for dwarf hamsters for another terraria that I had. In June and July, I tried to look for Roborovski breeders, only finding one. I asked for the hamsters, but she didn't have any. So I gave up. But in February 2006, the very same breeder, Linda, contacted me again, and asked if I was still interested. We thought about it for a while, and we said yes. Linda told me, that she has two males available. We picked up the brothers from a family of seven babies on Thursday 23.2.2006.

Wakka and Zell have settled down well. In the afternoons, they sleep right next to each other in a heap of paper and in the evenings, they wake up to get some food and to run around. Zell was the shyer one at first, now he is the braver one.

Because Wakka had lost lots of weight, I decided to take it to a vet, where a stalement I had found, was diagnosed as a tumour. He got some pain killers which'll help him feel better. If/when it gets worse, it must be taken back to the vet and release it from its pain. Wakka is still so longing to live and lively, that we didn't want to put it to sleep yet, and the vet agreed.

Wakka's tumour had grown and because of it, he had trouble in breathing. I decided to take it back to the vet on Wednesday 20.6., where he was released from his pain.
