Maya sat with the egg and waited. Waiting wasn't her strong side, so she sat and practised her weather control, refilling the water supplies with clouds and such. A couple of days ago she and Miona had put up food and water in case the egg hatched. They also found this very cool Bishen Beanie for the dragon! Of course, Maya picked a blue arboreal one. She really wanted an air dragon, that way they could share interests. Maya looked at the egg hovering on the cloud.
"Come out little cutie! Everything's ready for you! here's even your plushies!"

Miona leaped up next to the egg, curling herself around it. Suddenly she sat up. Her ears raised.
"You hear anyting?" Maya went over and listened. Inside she heard various noises. She put her cheek and ear close to the egg and suddenly she felt something against it! She looked at the egg and saw a tiny crack appeared!
She sent a warm wind towards the egg to encourage the hatchling. The crack widened and widened. Then a small face appeared, eyes closed.
"Awww ain't she the cutest???" Maya coulnd't hold it in anymore and started to giggle of happiness.
The small dragon punched through the egg and it cracked in two. The dragon sat in the shell for a while, then it opened it eyes.
"It's blue! you see that, Miona?" Maya picked up the small dragon and moved it to the new cloud, it curled and fell asleep in Maya's arms.

She have now grown into a beautiful blue arboreal shrape!!! Maya's so exited :)

The shantel is now over, and Vega is really happy with her magical object! she's flying around in the caste, levitating stuff :) Here's Vega's part in the shantel story:
