| How we got started- Ron Hoy "Well it was one of those things that I wanted to do for years and just couldn't figure out how to be in more than one place at a time, doing more than one thing at a time. I just couldn't rest until I got this done!" |

| O.K. So how do you really do it? "I use a TASCAM US122 interface and a couple of processing programs on my computer. I use PowerTraks and Sound Forge. I also have a Behringer B-1 Microphone. I record each song track by track and process them with reverb and other effects until I get the sound I like." What instruments do you play? "I mostly play a Martin accoustic guitar, a twelve string guitar, a bass guitar, a fiddle, a banjo (on a few) and a mandolin . Sometimes I do some keyboard and I use wood blocks and modified drums for percussion." So, what kind of music do you play? "I love Gospel music. I cut my teeth on the old time Southern Gospel music of the '50's, '60's and '70's and I have a love for music that glorifies God. I'm a Baptist Preacher and I write some of my own music also. I'm also a country boy so I like Gospel Bluegrass, Traditonal Bluegrass Music and Spirituals. I don't do Country Music and I don't do Rock 'n Roll. I do, however, do some parody songs and use any and all genres to do that - whatever fits. I also do some Celtic music; some traditional and some that I write myself. " What do I have to do to get some of your music? "I'm small time as far as operations and productions go. I am working on a whole Celtic album right now and have done a mix of Southern Gospel and a' capella Spirituals. But right now all I have are individual songs and I burn them from my PC onto discs. It's kind of eclectic. Whatever people want, I'll burn for them. As far as titled albums go, that's in the future. To get a song list from me, you can email me. Depending on how many songs you would want would determine the price. Usually a CD has at least ten songs and is not over $15." |
