| To make a Yahoo! ID (site name):
-Go to www.geocities.com -Fill out the form -Follow the instructions you are given To sign in (to edit your site): -Go to www.geocities.com -Under the �Sign In� section enter your Yahoo! ID and your password -Click �Sign In� To edit your page: -Sign in -Click �Yahoo! Page Builder� under �Build My Website� -Make sure you do not have a pop-up stopper on -Click �Launch Page Builder� or click a page builder template Note � if you don�t have Java, you will have to download it -Lots of pop-up things will come up. Do not exit them -A blank page will come up -Now use my instructions to learn to edit To set your properties: -Click �Format� on the top tool bar -Click �Page Properties� -A small screen should pop-up -Type in a title for your page under �Title� -Don�t worry about the �Keywords�. You can leave that blank -Put your name under �Author� -If you would like your page to be centered, click the checkbox marked �Center Page� under �Page Size� -Click the checkbox marked �Layer HTML� -Under �Default Colors� click �Text� to choose your text color -Under �Default Colors� click �Links� to choose your link color -Under �Default Colors� click �Visited Links� to choose your visited links color -Click �OK� to finalize your page properties To set your background: -Click �Format� on the top tool bar -Click �Background� -To set a solid color, click �Set Background Color� and choose your color -If you would rather a picture for your background, click �Backgrounds� or �User Files� under �Picture List� -Click �OK� to finalize your background settings To upload pictures: -Click �Pictures� on the bar just below the top tool bar -A window will pop-up -Click �Upload� -Click �Browse� -Choose your file -Click �Upload� -Wait while a window is popping up -Click �OK� To add text: -Click �Text� on the bar just below the top tool bar -Type your text To change the text font: -Choose a font from the choices given on the scroll menu just below the tool bars -To make it bold, click the �B� on the bottom toolbar -To make it italic, click the �I� on the bottom toolbar -To underline, click the �U� on the bottom toolbar To change the text size: -Choose a size from the choices given on the scroll menu next to the font scroll To change the text color: -Click the �T� on the bottom toolbar -Choose your color -Click �OK� To link a file: -Click/highlight the text/picture that you would like to use as a link -Click �Link� on the middle toolbar next to �Pictures� -Choose the file you would like to be the link To paste font into a text box: -Start a text box -Click the clipboard next to the bucket and the �T� on the bottom toolbar -Hold down the �Control� key and click the �v� key on your keyboard -Click �Paste� To save a page: -Click �Save� on the bar just below the top tool bar -Give your page a name -Click �Save� |
