Somethin' strange has come over me/got me goin' out of my mind/never met a guy like you before/you make me feel special inside~Jessica Simpson

"Cassie!"Sydney yelled for her friend to arrive in her bedroom two seconds later.
"You rang?"she admired her friend's ensemble of  a white peasant blouse matched to a blue jean mini adorned with a silver concho belt draping down onto the skirt."Wow!"
"What's missing?"
"Your man."
"Your funny.  I'm nervous enough as it is tonight."
"Why?  He loves you Syd.  He's the first guy that you've known that would do anything your heart desires."
"I know.  I just don't want anything to go wrong.  I've only been with one other man in my life and I don't want him to think I'm desperate or something."
Her friend laughed."I'm sorry Syd.  I'd kill to have a guy like Howie,"she responded.
The doorbell rang."He's here."
"You look fine but I'll answer the door,"Cassie arrived at the door  and opened it."For me?  You shouldn't have?"she noticed the  boquet of  peach colored roses for Sydney ."You look almost as good as Sydney,"she teased.
"Thank you.  Is she ready yet?"
"Is she ever?"
"Point taken,"he said just before she entered the room.  He dropped the boquet onto the floor.  She knelt down in front of him and retrieved them."You brought flowers for Cassie. How sweet,"she toyed with him.
"Cassie would you mind putting these in some water?"
"Not at all.  Have fun tonight you two,"she grabbed the flowers from Sydney as she and Howie held each other's gaze."I'm sorry Syd.  I just can't seem to find the words to describe how beautiful you look tonight,"he broke the silence between them."That's a good thing though,"he seemed to be stumbling over his words.  He was just as nervous as she was about tonight.
"It's okay.  Shall we?"she was smiling inside.  No man had ever made her feel this good about herself in her entire life.
"Sure.  Let's go,"he took her hand and they left the apartment.
Later in the evening, they had gone back to his place being as they 'd have no privacy at hers.  They had dated six months up to this time and his friends had teased him about that being a lifetime these days.
After all, Sydney wasn't the kind of girl you just jumped into bed with; she was the kind you made love to.  Before they even reached the living room, their tongues had driven their way down each other's throats.  When they came up for air,Sydney held his gaze as she slid her flats off.
"We've got all night,"she carressed the back of his neck.
"I'm sorry.  It's just that....well...I don't know quite how to say this."
"What?"
Trying hard to avoid the look she was giving him, he held steady as she pulled the restraint holding his hair in place and started moving her fingers through the dark mass of curls as he tried to speak."Syd!"he  drew her hands from their location and held onto them."What I'm trying to say is that I...I...I love you."
She didn't speak a word as her lips did all the talking for her.  She held onto him tightly as his hands carressed every inch of body he could find.
He released her from his hold.  She gently took his hand and led him to the room she knew was his. "Wait one second,"he said removing the satin comforter from the bed.
She smiled."You are something else,"she said as he returned to her side.
